Photography

The word photography is based on the Greek φῶς (photos) “light” and γραφή (graphe) “representation through lines or drawing." Literally, it means drawing with light. Photography is both an art and a science. At Schraff, we’ve been honing our expertise for years. We could tell you stories ad infinitum about tedious, day-long photo shoots with clients sitting around the studio bored to tears. Now, we do things differently. We arrange a Skype video-conference call, enabling clients to view photos in realtime via our web-preview functionality. So you never have to leave the comfort of your office (where, of course, you can remain keenly productive). We specialize in product photography, usually shots under 4’ x 4’. Specifically, if you have products that are difficult to shoot (stainless steel, reflective, transparent, or complex punched patterns), Schraff will do the job well. We photograph, outline and provide multiple resolutions and sizes for web, print and electronic brochures. Photos are organized, archived and presented to you on DVD. All photography, retouching and outlining is overseen by our Chief Creative Officer (an award-winning art director and photographer). The art and science of drawing with light. Yeah, we do that.
